The Calathea Makoyana , also known as the Peacock Plant , is a tropical eye-catcher with its large, oval leaves covered in beautiful patterns. The upper side of the leaf is a fresh green with dark spots, while the underside is a deep purple to red hue. Thanks to its height of 60–80 cm and generous pot size of Ø27 cm, this Calathea is a stylish addition to any interior – from living room to office.

Location

The Calathea Makoyana prefers a bright spot out of direct sunlight . Place it in partial shade or indirect light to help the leaves retain their vibrant color. This tropical houseplant thrives at temperatures between 18 and 25°C and in high humidity .

Water requirement

The Calathea Makoyana prefers slightly moist soil . Water the plant about twice a week , depending on the season and humidity.
